	I think the memory on the VIC-20 is too small to make it very
useful.  However the Commodore-64, plus a floppy disk drive, seems like
a good buy.  You can get a system like the one I have for the following costs.

	Commodore-64   $200  (at GEMCO or Toys-R-Us)
	disk drive      284  (at Toys-R-Us)
	modem            70  (at Pacific Stereo)
                       ----
	total          $554

This system can run as a dumb terminal on SAIL or CCRMA, etc.  Also it can
transfer data to other computers from its floppy disk.  I have written a
useable editor and transfer program for this purpose.  It is very useful
to have some kind of line printer also.  These cost from $300 up.  If you
would like, you could come over to my house some day to see my system.
